Benefit Class for The People Concern with Diane Avila & Nicole Ney

The homeless crisis in Los Angeles is inescapable and is intensifying each year in what feels like every corner of LA. It’s hard to ignore the impact homelessness has on our community and in our daily lives. As dwellers of our beloved city, join us to collectively invoke greater states of compassion and radiate the power of love for the world around us. Taught by our 300-hour graduate teachers, this special class benefits The People Concern. The People Concern empowers the most vulnerable among us to rebuild their lives. One of Los Angeles County’s largest social services agencies, The People Concern was formed in 2016 in a merger of two trusted social service organizations based in Los Angeles County, OPCC and Lamp Community. Informed by more than fifty years of work in the community, The People Concern is a leading provider of, and advocate for, evidence-based solutions to the multi-faceted challenges inherent in homelessness and domestic violence. Learn more and see you on the mat!

Diane Avila is a Los Angeles based yoga who has the desire to give back to her community and share the positive benefits of calming the mind through breath and movement. Her classes combine gentle & strength building sequences with a lighthearted approach set to soulful tunes.

Nicole Ney is a Yoga Teacher and Personal Trainer, passionate about helping people find their fun in fitness, whether that be on the yoga mat, in the gym, a dance studio, or wherever their heart desires! With her background as an athlete and dancer, it brings her great joy to be able to offer people a yoga practice or a workout that helps them maintain flow in the body: flexibility, mobility, range of motion. She enjoys nothing more than witnessing her students and clients experience the good vibes of self-love, confidence, and peace of mind after a session with her. She has trained and taught in New Jersey, New York City, and Los Angeles, where she now calls Home and honored to serve this community.
