Krishna Curry

Krishna is a certified strength and running coach adding the LOL 200hr YTT to her knowledge base this fall. In her 25-year running career she achieved NCAA All-American honors while at UCLA, qualified for the USA Olympic trials, and competed professionally on international stages. Now retired, she enjoys training for triathlons and road races.

She affirms that yoga (LOL classes!) was the key to her longevity and success in the elite athletics. Since 2008 she has incorporated yoga in her training as active recovery modality. Yoga restores mobility, oxygen circulation, and calmness to the adrenaline stressed bodies of athletes. She plans to use her LOL education to expand yoga as a standard practice in competitive sports spaces.

As a vegan, Krishna passionately advocates for plant-based lifestyles and environmental sustainability. She volunteers with Surfriders LA, Switch 4 Good, and Students Run LA.  She also serves on the Mar Vista Community Council (Currently in the running for the Zone 7 Director seat).  Connect with Krishna on IG @krishnacurry or @runmercury
