Vance & Shakti Weekend Workshop Takeover!

  • 12513 Venice Blvd Los Angeles USA (map)

Entire weekend for $150, individual segments for $55.

Friday 6-8pm  Partner Yoga Flow
Were stronger together ya’ll.  Join us for this creative exploration of learning to flow in tandem with another human. This session will start with a workshop style exploration of partner yoga skills and will culminate with a flow style experience being supported by a partner within a flow.  Come solo or as a pair. We will make sure you have a partner.
*Note* Partner yoga is not acro yoga. All levels welcome.

Saturday 12:30-2:30  Learning Locomotion
Locomotion is full body movement. Training it helps us develop strength, mobility, coordination, and gives us more freedom in our bodies. We all already do locomotion, but most of us are limited within it, not just thru personal limitations but societal limitations of how to move “appropriately”.  In this session, we demonstrate different ways to communicate with the floor and travel across it using our hands and feet. It can feel overwhelming to learn new patterns, so we simplify by first isolating different movements and then integrating them together with practice. Expect a proper warm up, cool down, and lots of play. All levels welcome.

Sunday 12:30 - 2:30  Relax and Restore
The ability to relax eludes so many of us. Relaxation when uncomfortable sensations arise, is even more rare — thus making it more valuable. In this session, we will practice deep, prolonged holds that will allow the practitioner to go within, in order to find more space freedom and peace.  Adjustments will be available for all who welcome them. It is recommended to come comfy! Sweats, socks, any and all extra cozy props are welcome.

Led by Vance Vlasek (who we know and love from LOL) & visiting guest teacher Shakti:
Shakti attended Naropa University where she studied all aspects of yoga, majoring in Traditional Eastern Arts.  In the pursuit of a more complete approach to physical well-being, she spent two years training and studying closely with an Ido portal community. With over 2,000 hours of formal yoga teacher training and countless hours of personal practice, she has committed to continuously learning and has begun sharing what she’s learned with the world.
