Is Light on Lotus good for beginners?

Absolutely! We welcome practitioners of every level with open arms. Many of our classes, including Lotus Flow 1 and Yummy Yin, are designed with beginners in mind. Our teachers offer modifications throughout every class so you can honor exactly where your body is today. No experience needed — just bring an open heart and a willingness to explore.

Where is Light on Lotus located?

We're located at 12513 Venice Blvd in the heart of Mar Vista, Los Angeles, CA 90066. We're on the south side of Venice Blvd between Centinela and Inglewood, with easy access from West LA, Culver City, Venice, and Santa Monica. Street parking is available on Venice Blvd and surrounding side streets.

Does Light on Lotus have showers or changing rooms?

We have a restroom where you can change before and after class. While we don't have full shower facilities, we do keep towels and freshening-up essentials on hand. Many of our students come in their yoga clothes and head out feeling refreshed and renewed after practice.

What styles of yoga does Light on Lotus offer?

We offer a soulful variety of practices including Lotus Flow (our signature vinyasa-style class at multiple levels), Yummy Yin, Lounging Lotus (restorative), Prenatal Yoga, Bhakti Flow (devotional yoga with live music and chanting), and special workshops throughout the year. Our Wellness Wing also offers massage, acupuncture, and reiki. Check our schedule online for the full lineup.

Does Light on Lotus offer prenatal yoga?

Yes! We offer a dedicated Prenatal Yoga class every Saturday at 12:30 PM. Our prenatal classes are designed to support you through every trimester with safe, nurturing movement, breathwork, and community. It's a beautiful space for expecting parents to connect with their bodies and their babies. No prior yoga experience is needed.

Can I transfer my class pack to someone else?

Class packs are non-transferable and are tied to the individual who purchased them. However, if you'd like to share the gift of yoga with a friend or loved one, we offer gift cards that make a beautiful present. Drop us a line at info@lightonlotus.com and we'll help you spread the love.

Is there an age requirement for classes at Light on Lotus?

Our regular group classes are open to students ages 16 and up. Students under 18 need a parent or guardian to sign a waiver before their first class. We occasionally offer family-friendly workshops and kids' yoga events — follow us on social media or sign up for our newsletter to stay in the loop on those sacred gatherings.
