Brian Hinman

Brian considers the Delphic maxim, "know thyself," to apply to the physical, mental, and spiritual self. Yoga is among his favorite paths to self discovery.

He teaches an Ashtanga inspired vinyasa flow where movements are synced with breath. You're invited to open and expand your awareness with a full inhale; connecting with your strength. And then, staying with breath, relax and release tension on a complete and emptying exhale, allowing yourself to soften. His teaching practice began fifteen years ago after spending half a year in Mysore, India studying Ashtanga vinyasa yoga, meditation, and pranayama.  That teacher training lasted 6 hours a day, 6 days a week, for over 2 months. Ten years later he would complete another E-RYT® 200 yoga training in Venice Beach to round things out from a more Western point of view. 

Off the mat, his other paths to self discovery are as a father, artist, and musician.
