Kishan Shah
Kishan Shah has been sharing the practices of Yoga, Meditation, and Ayurveda for over two decades, blending traditional lineage with an intelligent, deeply integrated approach to movement, breath, and self-inquiry.
His teaching has been shaped by years of study in India, including being a direct student of Sri K. Pattabhi Jois in Mysore, senior Ashtanga teacher Lino Miele in Kerala, and Swami Govindananda in the Himalayas, as well as serving as a senior assistant to Shiva Rea. He also served as an Adjunct Professor at UCLA, lecturing on Yoga Philosophy, Vinyasa Yoga, and Meditation.
An Ayurvedic practitioner and deep tissue bodyworker, Kishan has led workshops, retreats, teacher trainings, and taught at international festivals across five continents. Along the way, he has worked with first-time students, seasoned practitioners, professional athletes, MMA fighters, healthcare professionals, and corporate teams including Lululemon, Manduka, Cedars-Sinai, and Netflix.
Known for his methodical teaching style and keen eye for detail, Kishan helps students move with greater awareness, precision, and ease. His intelligently sequenced classes cultivate strength, resilience, and a deeper connection to the Self.
